Guatemala … Seeds to Feed
In November 2005, Hurricane Stan caused great devastation in Guatemala. Mudslides resulted in 9000 homes being destroyed and $40 billion of damage to agricultural production. CAUSE Guatemala is doing agricultural recovery work with 500 subsistence farmers in the Comitancillo region.
$100 Cdn provides 100 lbs. of bean seed / $200 Cdn provides 100 lbs. of corn seed.

In Guatemala, the fields will be tilled and seed will once again be sewn to provide for sub-existent farmers and their families. 738 farmers received 1 lb. of bean seed, 1 lb. of pea seed, 1/2 lb. red bean seed, some fertilizer and some training.
